Voting Information

Ways to Vote:

  • Mobile Poll: A Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) will come to you if you cannot come out to vote.
  • Absentee Ballot: To recevie a mail-in ballot, you must submit the Absentee Ballot Application by July 29th. The Absentee Ballot Application is available from the Chief Returning Officer, the Deputy Returning Officer or through the Downloads section of this site and may be submitted by mail, email or in-person.
  • Electronic Voting (Computer): Vote online from your computer or other device from August 1st to 9th via the following link https://gtc.isivote.com
  • Electronic Voting (Phone): Vote by phone from August 1st to 9th by calling 1-866-212-1929.
  • Voting Day: Poll stations in each community on August 19th from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

How to Vote:

Follow these steps to cast your vote:

  1. Ensure you are registered to vote. Check the voters list posted in your community or contact Esther Ross-Kendi (esther.rosskendi@gwichintribal.ca) to verify your registration.
  2. Choose your preferred voting method: Mobile Poll, Absentee Ballot, Electronic Voting, or Voting Day at poll stations.
  3. For Absentee Ballots, request and complete the form, then mail it to the Chief Returning Officer before the deadline.
  4. If voting in person, bring a valid ID and any required documents to the polling station.
  5. Follow the instructions provided at the polling station or online for electronic voting.
